Take a look at some of our event galleries below. We love having the opportunity to work in such varied locations and that our clients trust us to do the unique and different.

PINK & SILVER BAT MITZVAH
BETH EL HEBREW CONGREGATION | ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA

Balloons have gotten more and more sophisticated. Plus we like to incorporate a unique wow factor into each event, even when held at a familiar venue. Beth El Hebrew Congregation’s main foyer has a gorgeous skylight which we can’t help but want to highlight. We asked Festive Effects to design a balloon installation that took the utmost advantage of both the foyer height and the skylight. And what a first impression impact! Simply stunning. So different and so much wow it ended up being the backdrop for Dahlia’s family photos. Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; custom balloon installation | Festive Effects ; logo design| Mitzvah Logos; custom favors | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC ; print | Lettering by Lynne.

WEDDING WEEKEND WELCOME BRUNCH
THE MARKET AT AIRLIE | WARRENTON, VIRGINIA

How lucky were we to transform a completely raw space into an intimate gathering space for a family welcome brunch? Airlie Berkshire Farm in Warrenton, Virginia is a gorgeous setting, serene and natural. The Market at Airlie is unique among otherwise traditional event venues on the property – offering a modern industrial vibe in a very private spot overlooking a small lake. We brought the Market to life with a festive modern balloon installation, stunning natural florals inside and out, a casual seating area, and a long communal table graced by a mix of chairs, bringing to mind an intimate gathering in a private family home (a very chic one at that!). The brunch menu included homebaked favorite family treats, a great grandmother’s tea set, and special enhancements all the way from DC. Bagels and black and white cookies from none other than cult favorite (and our neighbor) Call Your Mother! Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; venue and catering | Airlie; balloon installation | Festive Effects; rentals | Party Rental, Ltd.; florals | Randy Watts Designs.

ODE TO BASKETBALL BAR MITZVAH
MAGGIANO’S | TYSONS CORNER, VIRGINIA

Every one of our events is different. And with so many bar and bat mitzvah celebrations focusing on the sports interests of our young gent and lady VIPs, we work extra hard to make sure each design is unique. Often it’s more about references to whatever sports are being highlighted than actual  sports decor and paraphernalia. Along with a sophisticated blending of elements between adult and teen areas to achieve a cohesive, upscale look and feel. Check out how we referenced basketball here – the  orange color echoing the basketball itself, black and white for referee stripes, and the metal of the bar stools for locker room and courtside seating. Our client was beyond happy with the results! Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; venue and catering | Maggiano’s Tysons Corner ; rentals | Party Rental, Ltd. and AFR; florals | Edge Floral Event Designers.

MODERN BOHO BAT MITZVAH
BETH EL HEBREW CONGREGATION | ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA

We work all angles in each of our events from the beginning of the process. Overall design and thematic elements, entertainment, and food and beverage. A gorgeous combination of turquoise and gold with geometric as well as boho accents resulted in a thoroughly unique and modern take on boho chic for this bat mitzvah. Not to mention artisan tastes of DC brought to Alexandria. Petworth’s renowned Timber Pizza with their mobile pizza oven was a HUGE hit, as were custom desserts from SweetPots Mason Jar’d Desserts and Buttercream Bakeshop. LOVE!! PRETTY IN PINK BAT MITZVAH
BETH EL HEBREW CONGREGATION | ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA

So so sweet. Shades of pink throughout. And loads of fun touches. Check out the doughnut wall made personal by the “E’ in the middle (first initial of our young lady of the hour) and the cotton candy topped pink lemonade mocktails. Fabulous food and beverage from one of our favorite catering partners Mindy’s Catering. Custom desserts from Sweet Pots and Sugar Pixie Sweets. Doughnuts from District Doughnut; donut wall crafted by Edge Floral Event Designers (along with the gorgeous flowers). Oh my. And how about the surprise book folding (gorgeously crafted by Luciana Frigerio)?! E’s story brought to life! Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; rentals | Party Rental, Ltd

SOPHISTICATED BASEBALL BAR MITZVAH
HYATT REGENCY | TYSONS CORNER, VIRGINIA

Just hints of J’s love of baseball along with an upscale modern industrial aesthetic. Large black and white baseball portraits of J suspended from the ceiling personalized the cocktail reception area. A stunning tablescape of white calla lilies accented by lucite trays with a bed of blue fireglass held seating cards complementing the Emily Baird designed invitations. Inside the ballroom, gray metal and concrete, along with succulents and more gorgeous white florals continued the modern industrial vibe kicked up a notch. The J lounge gave the teen seating area a creative touch. And a surprise visit from beloved Nationals racing President Teddy made J one very happy guy. TROPICAL ELEGANCE | SURPRISE 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
PRIVATE RESIDENCE | RESTON, VIRGINIA

Wow. No cliched tropical decor here. Our clients spend quite a bit of time sailing in the Caribbean and we wanted to echo their love of both the gorgeous natural environment and culinary style. The physical setting for the event was a real stunner – a recently remodeled private residence in Reston, Virginia that allowed us to place the cocktail reception and steel drum band around the pool, and beautifully attired communal tables on the lawn adjacent to the pool. We incorporated some very special touches along with the steel drum band – birthday messages in a bottle, a raw oyster bar with live shucker, family style food service, and later, a bananas foster station, passed fruit paletas, and a gorgeous cake adorned by seashells collected by the children of some of our client’s closest friends. Elegant and sophisticated, but full of warmth and personal tributes. Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; rentals | Party Rental, Ltd.;florals | Edge Floral Event Designers; catering | Occasions; cake | Buttercream Bakeshop.

WARM WEDDING ELEGANCE
6TH & I SYNAGOGUE & FAIRFAX AT EMBASSY ROW | WASHINGTON, DC

Our work on this wedding was nominated for an ILEA DC award. It was an absolute joy to craft, and an opportunity to put our creativity to work in many ways. Many venues have unusual quirks that planners have to work around but in this case our bride wanted to use BOTH aisles in the 6th & I Sanctuary for the processional. We incorporated her love of music (a Russian violinist – quite appropriate for a family of Russian Jewish emigres) and desire to connect the members of the wedding party in unique ways as they proceeded to the front of the Sanctuary and up to the bimah. The gorgeous ceremony was followed by a stunning reception at the Fairfax at Embassy Row. This was a very special wedding for us in many ways and we are grateful to our clients for the opportunity to bring to life their unique vision. Planning & design | ATELIER EVENTS, LLC; rentals | Party Rental, Ltd.; florals | Edge Floral Event Designers; cake | Patisserie Poupon; custom wedding dress | Elegance by Roya.
